Molly’s Game

Review: A true story of Molly Bloom, an Olympic-class skier who ran the world’s most exclusive poker game. She did this for 10 years before being arrested in the night by FBI agents who were wielding automatic weapons.
Director: Aaron Sorkin
Actors: Jessica Chastain, Idris Elba, Kevin Costner, Micheal Cera, Jeremy Strong, Chris O’Dowd, J.C. MacKenzie, Brian d’Arcy James, Bill Camp, Graham Greene, Justin Kirk, Angela Gots, Natalie Krill, Stephanie Herfield and Madison McKinley
Year: 2017
Genre: Biography, Crime and Drama
Conclusion: 3/5
Written and directed by Aaron Sorkin who also wrote The Social Network (2010). This is a story which I knew nothing about. Watching this I do think it would be helpful to understand the world of poker which I have not got a clue about. Both Idris Elba and Jessica Chastain give fantastic performances. They both only had 10 days to shoot because of schedules. This is Aaron Sorkin’s directorial debut. The real Molly Bloom told Aaron Sorkin that she requested Jessica Chastain to play her.
