It is often claimed that this film contains one of the funniest scenes in movie history. The scene that I am talking about is the mirror scene. Apparently, the director Leo McCarey came up with the idea and it only took two hours to film. At the time of the release of this film “Duck Soup” was American English slang which meant something easy to do. This is the final film by Zeppo Marx and it is the only film where all of the Marx brothers perform musically together. This is the best and most famous of all the Marx brothers films. An Italian dictator Benito Mussolini banned the film in Italy because he thought it was a direct attack on him. According to the BBFC, one or more versions of this work have been cut. Cuts were required but the details are not available. At the beginning of 2012 the late Barry Norman produced a list of the 101 Greatest Films and this was amongst the list.
