Conclusion: 3/5
I actually enjoyed this plus I never got bored or felt myself looking at the time. I love Dylan Minnette and think he is a fantastic actor. This isn’t terribly original and there have already been films like this. It is very ruthless and very nasty. This is a small budget film and when it came out in America it did really well at the box office. The budget for this film was less than $10 million. Only two months after the release it grossed over $140 million. Towards the end I did think it lost its way a bit and didn’t quite know what to do. It is quite hard to believe that there are places like Detroit that still exist. All of the interior shots were filmed 4500 miles away in Pomaz, Hungary near to Budapest. The dog in this was played by three different dogs, their names were Athos, Astor and Nomad. For all the people who loved this film you will be pleased to know that there is going to be a Don’t Breathe 2. No release date yet for it.
