100 Streets

100 STREETS

Review: This follows the lives of three people and their extraordinary stories. The story plays out in one square mile of modern day London.
Director: Jim O’Hanlon
Actors: Gemma Arterton, Idris Elba, Tom Cullen and Ken Stott
Year: 2016
Genre: Crime and Drama
Conclusion: 2/5
A not so very good film. Fantastic ensemble cast with Gemma Arterton and also Idris Elba on board. You could see that they both worked together. It is a true to life film in the way that you felt sorry for the characters. The situations that they had to overcome were very sensitively handled. With it being shot in London I thought that the director would use it a bit more. I thought that you would see all the fantastic buildings and make the most of it. You didn’t really get a sense of where you were at all. The writer/producer, Leon Butler, single-handedly raised the entire £3 million budget from private equity.
