A thoroughly enjoyable animation. I just love the whole storytelling of this, it is so beautiful. The visuals were amazing. Film takes place in ancient Japan. The film score was lovely to listen to. Even though this is a PG rating it is very scary especially for really small children. There were times where even I got scared. I found this to have so many moving scenes in. The theme that features most in this is grieving and loss. It was great to see Matthew McConaughey do something completely different as this was his first animated film. All the way through this you never knew what was going to happen at the end. It wasn’t at all predictable. I would say that this film covers all ages and not just for children. This is a fantastic film and would recommend everyone to go and see it. I hope it does really well at the cinema. At the Bafta Awards in 2017 this won one award and that was for Best Animated Film.
Thanks Beth for this tip – I’ll certainly be adding it to my list.
