What Dreams May Come

WHAT DREAMS MAY COME
What Dreams May Come
Review: Chris Nielsen dies in a car crash. He takes us on an amazing journey through heaven and hell. This is to rediscover the meaning of life and the wonders of love.
Director: Vincent Ward
Actors: Robin Williams, Cuba Gooding Jr., Annabella Sciorra, Max von Sydow and Werner Herzog
Year: 1998
Genre: Drama, Fantasy, Romance and Sci-Fi
Conclusion: 3/5
Based on a book by Richard Matheson. The original score for this film was composed by Ennio Morricone. It was rejected after some initial screen tests. There has never been an explanation for the rejection for this by the director or producers. Imagine how different the film would feel given the original score. I was slightly disappointed with this given all the great reviews it had. Annette Bening auditioned for the part of Annie Nielson. When Chris Nielsen searches for Annie’s soul he faces four elements to find her. The four elements are water, earth, fire and air. At the Academy Awards in 1999 this won 1 Oscar and that was for Best Effects, Visual Effects.
