Director: Michael Apted
Actors: Pierce Brosnan, Sophie Marceau, Robert Carlyle, Robbie Coltrane, Judi Dench, John Cleese and Samantha Bond
Year: 1999
Genre: Action, Adventure and Thriller
Conclusion: 3/5
The opening scene in this film of the boat chase took 7 weeks to film and is apparently the longest scene in any of the Bond movies which stands in at 14-15 minutes. Great to see Robert Carlyle and with such a perfect role for him as the villain. Pierce Brosnan looks like he is enjoying himself and is very comfortable in this role. The action sequences are brilliant in this and it is worth watching the film just for that alone. This is the highest grossing James Bond film to be released in the 20th Century. Band Jamiroquai was asked and offered to write and sing the song but declined. When this film was due to come out it had several rumoured titles. They were “Death Waits for No Man”, “Fire and Ice”, “Pressure Point and also “Dangerously Yours”.
