HE NAMED ME MALALA
Review: This is a documentary about Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani schoolgirl shot and seriously injured by the Taliban for speaking out on behalf of girls’ education.
Director: Davis Guggenheim
Year: 2015
Genre: Documentary
Conclusion: 3/5
A very powerful and interesting documentary. Well directed by Davis Guggenheim. This film is inspired by her book “I Am Malala”. Some of the scenes looking back on Pakistan actually looked really lovely. There were quite a few scenes that I found very moving. This gave you a great insight into her life and her family. They allowed you to get to know her family. You felt that you actually knew them by the end of the film. This film achieves a very good balance between a personal story and global issues.
