San Andreas

San Andreas
Review: A powerful earthquake hits California, a rescue-chopper pilot goes in search for his ex-wife and then they both go together to rescue their daughter.
Director: Brad Peyton
Actors: Dwayne Johnson, Carla Gugino, Alexandra Daddario, Ioan Gruffudd, Paul Giamatti and Kylie Minogue
Year: 2015
Genre: Action, Adventure and Drama
Conclusion: 2/5
A typical and predictable drama. A film that in 5 minutes you already know what the outcome will be at the end. Kylie Minogue has a little cameo in this. The C.G.I. in this is one of the strongest points. I have to say that I have seen Ioan Gruffudd do much better and stronger parts as an actor. It is not one of his standout performances. As well as this being about an earthquake you could say that it is also a story about a father and daughter relationship and also about family. The scary thing with this film is that the same disaster could happen any day now and it would become too real for the people who live there, as I have just discovered that on May 29th 2015, the same day the film opened it was reported that there was an earthquake near Indio, California. If you want a fun trashy film to watch then this is the film for you. One film critic wrote “How much you enjoy the movie depends on how much mass destruction you can deal with and how much cheese you can stomach”.
