Catch Me Daddy

CATCH ME DADDY
Catch Me Daddy
Review: Set in the dark depths of the Yorkshire moors. Laila is a free spirited girl who has a partner who is more circumspect. Her father has hired her brother and other men to try and track them down. Things start to go horribly wrong. The dark scenery foreshadows what is going to happen.
Director: Daniel Wolfe
Actors: Sameena Jabeen Ahmed, Connor McCarron and Gary Lewis
Year: 2014
Genre: Drama and Thriller
Conclusion: 4/5
A film that I knew very little about to start off with. This is the director’s first feature and he wrote and created this alongside his brother Matthew. Sameena Jabeen Ahmed is fantastic and hope to see much more of her in the future. All of the actors felt like it was all happening and unfolding in front of them in real life. You didn’t think they were acting. All very convincing. This is a very harrowing and powerful film. I would advise viewers to seek out a bit about this film before watching it. Although it is very grim and there is a lot of strong language I would advise people to watch it because it is such a great film. This film is in English and Punjabi with English subtitles.
