Eddie the Eagle

Eddie the Eagle
Review: Inspired by true events. This is the story of Eddie Edwards otherwise known as Eddie the Eagle. He was a British ski-jumper who charmed the world at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics.
Director: Dexter Fletcher
Actors: Taron Egerton, Hugh Jackman, Tom Costello, Keith Allen, Jim Broadbent and Christopher Walken
Year: 2016
Genre: Biography, Comedy and Drama
Conclusion: 4/5
At the time of this event actually happening I was a too young to remember. I didn’t know anything about Eddie Edwards before this film. I found it all very interesting. I don’t know how much of this film was fact or fiction. When I first came across Taron Egerton he was in Kingsman: The Secret Service he was great in that and continues to shine. It doesn’t matter what characters Hugh Jackman has in his films but he always does them so well. Always great to see him. It was great to see Jim Broadbent do his little scene. For some reason he always brings a smile to my face and it is like seeing a friend. I never felt bored with this film or any of the scenes. I felt that they kept the scenes moving really quickly. At times I felt that I couldn’t look at the screen because I found it so tense. A very fun film to watch.  I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.
