Queen and Country

Queen and Country
Review: Bill Rohan has been called to serve in the National Service in the era of the 1950’s, on the eve of the Korean War.
Director: John Boorman
Actors: Callum Turner, Caleb Landry Jones, Pat Shortt, David Thewlis, Richard E.Grant, Tamsin Egerton and Sinead Cusack
Year: 2014
Genre: Comedy and Drama
Conclusion: 2/5
This is a sequel to Hope and Glory (1987). The only problem that I did find with this film was that I found it far too long. There wasn’t really much substance and nothing really to get the actors engaged with the film. I do think that this film would have worked better as like a three part episode on a Sunday night. The director has stated that this will be his last film.
