Patrick Stewart was offered the part of King Triton but had to turn the role down. The music is particularly good especially the song “Under the Sea”.  At the Academy Awards in 1990 this won 2 Oscars and they were for Best Music,Original Song and also Best Music,Original Score. At the Golden Globe Awards also the same year it won 2 Awards and they were for Best Original Score – Motion Picture and also Best Original Song – Motion Picture.
