THE HOMESMAN
The Homesman
Review: Mary Bee Cuddy helps three troubled women across the country. They head east taking them to a waiting minister and his wife, where they will take the women in.
Director: Tommy Lee Jones
Actors: Tommy Lee Jones, Hilary Swank, Hailee Steinfeld and Meryl Streep
Year: 2014
Genre: Drama and Western
Conclusion: 4/5
A much better film than I originally thought it would be. Based on a novel by Glendon Swarthout. The landscape is quite incredible that they go through on their journey. Just very bare and nothing around for miles. Hilary Swank is amazing and when she is not on the screen you actually miss her. It is a very interesting film. I have to say though that the last 15 mins of it I did get a bit bored with it and was waiting for it to finish. It lost its way a bit.
