MAGIC IN THE MOONLIGHT
Review: An Englishman is brought in to help unmask a possible swindle. Personal and professional complications start to arise. Set in the 1920’s.
Director: Woody Allen
Actors: Colin Firth, Emma Stone and Marcia Gay Harden
Year: 2014
Genre: Comedy, Drama and Romance
Conclusion: 2/5
Good but obviously not one of Woody Allen’s best films. This is set in the south of France and is based on the era of the 1920’s. This shows France off really well with the beautiful scenery. Brilliant cast. There is a very clever twist to how the story unravels. You have got to be very clever if you pick the twist up at the beginning of the film. If this film was made about 20 years ago you would not be at all surprised.
