The Hundred-Foot Journey

The Hundred Foot Journey
Review: The Kadam family leave India and arrive in a small French village. They set up a new restaurant across the road from a Michelin-starred eatery.
Director: Lasse Hallstrom
Actors: Helen Mirren, Om Puri and Manish Dayal
Year: 2014
Genre: Comedy and Drama
Conclusion: 3/5
A very clever and watchable film. I am not a huge fan of Helen Mirren but in this I thought she was brilliant. The only other person I thought that could have taken her role is Kristin Scott Thomas. This made me want to start building up an interest in cooking. It has made me get excited about what sort of food to cook. As this movie is about food you wouldn’t want to watch this on an empty stomach. The two restaurants facing each other were digitally created.
