Conclusion: 4/5
A film that is brilliantly directed. Steve McQueen’s acting is also superb as usual. Out of all the films that Steve McQueen has been in, this is reported to have been his favorite. Sean Connery was considered for the title role but declined. At the Academy Awards in 1969 it won 1 Oscar and that was for Best Music, Original Song. The song was called “The Windmills of Your Mind”. Also the same year but at the Golden Globe Awards it won Best Original Song. One film critic says “Made at he height of Steve McQueen’s popularity, this romantic heist thriller contains one of the sexiest scenes in a Hollywood film”.
