Nine years on from Before Sunrise and about two decades on from Before Sunset we find we are back with Jesse and Celine on their journey. As much as I enjoy the trilogy I have enjoyed each one less than the other one. There could easily be another Before film to conclude but I hope there won’t be. The ending leaves you guessing though as to what could happen next. I don’t believe in the politics of them and what they are saying. I think Richard Linklater is an amazing character to achieve what he has done. It all looks so easy. Great that the director and actors have all stayed together and been faithful to the trilogy. This film contains a lot of pain and bitterness which makes it harder to watch.
