Really good film but I was slightly disappointed as I already knew most of the plot and what would happen in it. As I knew so much it did ruin it a bit for me. I personally felt that there was a lot in it to do with forgiveness. The script was brilliant. Great to see an Irish film and loved the scenery. Well directed. This film features 12 supporting characters. This represents the 12 disciples. One film critic wrote ‘The mood here is far more sombre, as Gleeson’s thoroughly decent cleric reflects on sin and death, mercy and forgiveness…but there is humour, too, especially from the gallery of eccentrics and oddballs who inhabit this wind-whipped Sligo parish.’
