Excellent film!! A classic!! Most of the events in this movie were based upon real events. In 1998 Kim Basinger got an Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and the film got an Oscar for Best Writing. It also won 2 awards at the Baftas. Best Editing and Best Sound. Kim Basinger also got a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance. Based on a novel by James Ellroy. This is on Barry Norman’s list of 100 Greatest Films of all time that he produced at the start of 2012 in the Radio Times.
