The Woman In Black

THE WOMAN IN BLACK

Review: A young lawyer leaves his son and travels to a remote village. He discovers a vengeful ghost that keeps haunting the locals.
Director: James Watkins
Actors: Daniel Radcliffe and Ciaran Hinds
Year: 2012
Genre: Drama, Horror and Thriller
Conclusion: 3/5
Very scary film. Even though this film is a 12A I wouldn’t recommend this film to a 12 year old. I think it is far too scary. I thought that the lighting in this was fantastic. The only problem that I had was Daniel Radcliffe because all I think about when I see him is Harry Potter. I also didn’t find him very convincing. The other thing as well is that I found him too young to play the part considering he had a three year old son. I think that they should have had someone like Cillian Murphy. Based on a novel by Susan Hill. There was a T.V. version of this in 1989 and Adrian Rawlins played the part of the young lawyer. Adrian Rawlins played Harry’s dad in the Harry Potter films.
