Review: Elliott is a lonely little boy and is usually in a little world of his own. One day he goes into his back yard and finds this extraterrestrial there. Elliott and his brothers and his sister do everything to try and get the extraterrestrial back home before a group of government sciences gets hold of him.

Absolute Classic!!!! It won 4 awards at the Oscars in 1983. Best Visual Effects, Best Music-Original Score, Best Sound and Best Sound Effects Editing. At the Baftas it won Best Score. At the Golden Globes it won Best Original Score and Best Motion Picture. Steven Spielberg personally screened this film for Ronald Reagan and Nancy Davis at the White House. Elliott’s last name is never mentioned in the film. This is on Barry Norman’s list of 100 Greatest Films of all time that he produced at the start of 2012.
