Jim Carrey doing what he is best at. Real penguins were used for some of the scenes. Most of the scenes were filmed on a refrigerated set. Jim Carrey was actually bitten by one of the penguins. Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Owen Wilson were all considered to play Mr.Popper.
