RUSH
Review: This is a story about James Hunt and Niki Lauda. They were both Formula One rivals in the 1970’s.
Director: Ron Howard
Actors: Daniel Bruhl, Chris Hemsworth and Olivia Wilde
Year: 2013
Genre: Drama, Action and Biography
Conclusion: 4/5
One amazing true story. Before this film came out I had never heard of either of these Formula One drivers. One of the reasons was because it was way before my time. I am not even into any kind of sport or really watch Formula One. I however watched Senna and felt that really gave me in insight to this film. Even though you may not be interested at all with Formula One you will thoroughly enjoy this film . It is a film that you have to go and see at the cinema. Watching it at home will not have the same impact at all. I was on the edge of my seat all the way through. Ron Howard has done a fantastic job of directing this film. The two lead actors did a brilliant job. There were a few scenes that I thought could have been cut and didn’t need to be in. I do think that it should have Academy Awards or at least be nominated but I do not think that in America it will have the same impact as it does over here. I came away after the film much preferring Niki Lauda but James Hunt was more handsome. At the Bafta Awards in 2014 this won Best Editing.
