Conclusion: 3/5
I have to say how impressed I was with Jodie Comer’s performance and I thought she did a terrific job. I never once got bored. I know this sort of film has been done several times before but I enjoyed it. I hope we get to see Mahalia Belo do more work in the future. This is written by screenwriter Alice Birch whose previous works include Lady Macbeth (2026), Normal People (2020) (TV Mini Series) and Mothering Sunday (2021) just to name a few. I very much enjoyed the musical score composed by Anna Meredith. The main themes include community, loss and love.
