Strong performances from Lesley Manville and Liam Neeson. I thought they both worked really well together. Apparently, Lesley Manville and Liam Neeson had never met until they began pre-production work on this film. The thing that worked for me is that I believed in the characters. I think this is Liam Neeson’s best performance and his best film. A very well made and put together film. I didn’t find it to be an enjoyable watch obviously because of its subject matter. You can look at this film as a celebration of love and life.
