Conclusion: 4/5
This is a much better film than I was expecting it to be. The strongest performance is Russell Crowe who plays Goring. This is the finest performance I have seen from him in a very long time. Fantastic cast with the likes of Michael Shannon, Leo Woodall, Rami Malek and Richard E. Grant. I thought that the court room scenes were very powerful. There are some scenes especially at the beginning which I am not sure worked well and took away from the film. The two main themes that this touches on are nature of evil and the consequences of war.
