Conclusion: 4/5
Dan Aykroy’d original title for the film was “Ghost Smashers”. Expertly written with some humour added in. This has got to be the best Bill Murray film. I love the musical score by Elmer Bernstein. Michael Keaton was offered the roles of Dr. Peter Venkman and Dr. Egon Spengler but turned them both down. Julia Roberts auditioned for the role of Dana Barrett, but was considered too young. Huey Lewis & The News were offered to write and record the theme song although turned the offer down. A film you can still watch in this present day and enjoy. A classic film. At the Bafta Awards in 1985 this won 1 award for Best Original Song.
