Year: 1948
Genre: Comedy, Musical and Romance
Conclusion: 5/5
A classic film. Originally intended as a re-teaming of Judy Garland and Gene Kelly. I do think this is Fred Astaire and Judy Garland’s best performances from both of them. I got the feeling that they both enjoyed working on the film together and felt there was great chemistry. The only thing that I have to say that’s negative is that I did find the script to be very predictable. I did enjoy all the songs and found them to be very memorable. At the Academy Awards in 1949 this won 1 Oscar award for Best Music, Scoring of a Musical Picture.
