Bones and All

BONES AND ALL

Review: Maren embarks on a 1000 mile odyssey through America where she meets Lee, a disenfranchised drifter. A story of first love and a liberating road odyssey of two young people coming into their own and searching for identity.
Director: Luca Guadagnino
Actors: Timothee Chalamet, Taylor Russell, Mark Rylance, Kendle Coffey, Andre Holland, Ellie Parker, Madeleine Hall, Christine Dye, Sean Bridgers, Anna Cobb, David Gordon Green, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jake Horowitz, Marcia Dangerfield, Jessica Harper and Chloe Sevigny
Year: 2022
Genre: Drama, Horror, Mystery, Romance and Thriller
Conclusion: 3/5
The film is beautifully shot. I thought that Timothee Chalamet and Taylor Russell were both brilliant. Great to see Mark Rylance and in a performance that I was not expecting to ever see him in. I thought he did a fantastic job. Completely unexpected. It did remind me of The Twilight Saga (2010, 2011). This film is based on the 2015 novel Bones & All by Camille DeAngelis. This has themes in such as identity, familial relationships and the nature of desire.
