I loved this film although I did find it too similar to one of my favourite films Silent Running (1972). Another film this is very similar to is E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982). I do think kids will love Wall-E. This is Thomas Newman’s second score animated film, after Finding Nemo (2003). Although, this is rated a U certificate on the BBFC website it does state very mild violence, threat and horror. At the Academy Awards in 2009 this won 1 Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film of the Year. At the Bafta Awards in 2009 this won for Best Animated Film. In 2008 this won for Best Feature Film at the BAFTA Children’s Award. At the Golden Globe Awards in 2009 this won for Best Animated Film.
