I loved this film. Fantastic performances from the whole cast but it is Riz Ahmed and Paul Raci who give outstanding performances. For this role Riz Ahmed had to learn how to play the drums although watching this you wouldn’t know and would just presume he could already play and had been playing for years. He also had to learn American sign language. This is a film about identity. At the Academy Awards in 2021 this won 2 Oscar Awards. They were for Best Sound and Best Achievement in Film Editing. At the Bafta Awards in 2021 this won for Best Sound and Best Editing.
