Conclusion: 3/5
A perfectly watchable film. There is nothing new that we haven’t already seen. A well acted film considering what a hard task the actors have been given. They make it look so easy. Originally, Nicolas Cage was initially offered the role of Robert Hansen. Cage wanted to play the detective, as he thought it would be more challenging for him. Kristen Stewart auditioned for the role of Cindy Paulson. Before the financing of the film was in place, Colin Farrell and Dakota Fanning were attached to play Jack Holcombe and Cindy Paulson. When financing was finally secured, both were unavailable due to scheduling conflicts. How different the film might have been.
