Director: Thea Sharrock
Actors: Micheal Ward, Beckett Handley, Tahvae Hunte, Daniel Attwell, Bill Nighy, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, Callum Scott Howells, Sheyi Cole, Kit Young, Susan Wokoma, Cristina Rodlo and Kazuhiro Muroyama
Year: 2024
Genre: Drama and Sport
Conclusion: 2/5
This film is inspired by stories of the real-life Homeless World Cup. Again, like I have said about so many films, this is far too long for what it needed to be standing in at 2h 5m. It was rather lacking in something but I can’t quite put my finger on it. Bill Nighy does what he does best and turns up in a suit. I am not sure whether this was the right role for him. I do think this film would have been better if it was made as a documentary.
