Director: Celine Sciamma

Year: 2021
Genre: Drama and Fantasy
Conclusion: 5/5
This is probably my favourite film of 2021. You could look at this story as a fairy-tale. I found the film to be played completely naturally. I didn’t think for one moment that any one of these actors were acting. I was completely swept up in the whole story. This film is only 1h 13m which to me is a perfect length. As well as Céline Sciamma directing this film she also served as costume designer and writer. At the end of the film I felt completely moved and was lost for words. I just wish that films like this were made more. The themes in this explores childhood grief, memory, friendship and connection.
