I have to admit that I do not remember this story happening at the time. Directed by Oliver Parker who also directed the film Dad’s Army (2016). Funny to see Michael Caine back on our screens as he announced about 5 years ago that he was going to retire and was done with making movies. I have to say how wonderful Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson both are. I thought they both had real chemistry and enjoyed working together. I believed that they were a married couple. It is sad that Glenda Jackson passed away just before the film was released. Watching this I didn’t think for one minute that it was Michael Caine and Glenda Jackson. I thought they were real. I felt totally invested in this film. Columnist Julia Hamilton wrote about this film “Portrayed with humour and sympathy by two terrific actors”. I showed this at my local Cinema in the Hall and it was a sell out!
