A terrible film but I loved it! In order for Hugh Jackman to take on the role he studied ballroom dancing, trained to ride a horse and also took etiquette lessons from a 19th-century etiquette expert. Apparently, Sandra Bullock was originally in contention for the part of Kate. At the Golden Globe Awards in 2002 this won one award for Best Original Song – Motion Picture.
