The Sea

THE SEA

Review: A man searching for peace following the death of his wife returns to the seaside house where he spent his childhood summers.
Director: Stephen Brown
Actors: Ciaran Hinds, Sinead Cusack, Joe Gallagher, Ruth Bradley, Charlotte Rampling, Natascha McElhone, Rufus Sewell, Karl Johnson, Bonnie Wright, Missy Keating, Amy Molloy, Fionnuala Murphy and Lalor Roddy
Year: 2013
Genre: Drama
Conclusion: 2/5
Ciaran Hinds does his best but his performance isn’t enough to save the film. I felt there was nothing really for him to work with. It is a very dark and bleak film. An adaptation of a novel by John Banville of the same title. I found this film to be boring and predictable.
