Conclusion: 2/5
I was really disappointed with this film. I never once felt engaged with any of the characters. I felt the film never really got going and didn’t really know what it wanted it to be. Watching this I felt that it was just a vanity project for Freida Pinto. I thought she would be the strongest character and actor but felt she was very weak. I felt that the script needed a lot more work. I thought that the film as a whole didn’t work. There were missing links all the way through, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. It is a film that should have worked. I felt it was rather lacking in a storyline. Sam Heughan was originally attached to the project but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. It was trying to be too much like the TV series Bridgerton.
