Conclusion: 4/5
This is the fifth Harry Potter film and the shortest even though the novel is the longest in the series. There is a lot of plot in this film. This is the first film where Daniel Radcliffe is more on his own and we really see him now shine as an actor. Daniel Radcliffe has confirmed that this is his favourite in the Harry Potter franchise. Always great to see Emma Watson and Rupert Grint although they don’t have as much to do. In this we are seeing them more like adults and more mature for the first time. I have to say that I wanted much more of Jason Isaacs and Alan Rickman. I was pleasantly surprised at Imelda Staunton’s performance and thought she did an exceptional job. As soon as I think of this film I think of her performance. Apparently, the phoenix is J.K. Rowling’s favourite magical creature.
