SWEETWATER

Review: Set in the late 1800’s, a former prostitute is trying to build a new life with her husband in the rugged plains of New Mexico.  Her life is violently turned upside down once she meets a fanatical religious leader. She seeks out vengeance with help of a renegade sheriff who has violent ideas of his own.

Another title for this film is Sweet Vengeance. A brilliant performance from Jason Isaacs. The cinematography was amazing. Jason Isaacs wanted to do this film because he was blown away by the script and also wanted to work with these two directors he has never heard of. You could enjoy this film because it wasn’t too long (90 mins). Even though this film isn’t fantastic I do hope to see much more of these two directors who are just starting out in their career.
