Million Dollar Arm

MILLION DOLLAR ARM
Million Dollar Arm
Review: Based on a true story. This is about an American sports agent who launches a competition in India. The competition is to find talented Indian cricketers to play Major League Baseball.
Director: Craig Gillespie
Actors: Jon Hamm, Aasif Mandvi, Alan Arkin and Bill Paxton
Year: 2014
Genre: Biography and Drama
Conclusion: 2/5
There were times in this where it did remind me a lot of the film Slumdog Millionaire. The script was well written. The director handled the story delicately. It is well over the two hours which it didn’t need to be. It is o.k. to watch on like a Friday night if there is nothing else on the t.v. Very predictable but yet a very charming film. This has themes of redemption, diversity and the notion of family. The most interesting for me was seeing photos of the real guys at the end of the film.
